Currently, we are seeking qualified candidates for a Manager opening to join our Purchasing organization.
Day to Day:
What you will do:
- Purchase materials in a timely manner and at the lowest cost.
- Assist in the preparation and management of the departmental budget.
- Coordinate vendor activity and negotiations.
- Ensure the team delivers the highest standard of departmental, cross departmental and cross foundation teamwork and customer service.
- Analyze trends in vendor pricing and sales activity to determine correct volume and timing of purchases.
- Review Purchase orders for compliance, and monitor and issue purchase order changes.
- Provide coaching, guidance and support, set professional development plans to assist employees to reach full potential.
- Ensure compliance with Company RSM/QCM. Must be aware of ISO/TCS quality requirements. Sees that all department employees are aware of quality program.
- Maintain accurate purchase order prices and vendor cataloging.
- Ensure that all department employees are properly cross trained.
- Oversee and ensure Company compliance with ISO Standard as Management Representative.
- Enforces safety and Chromalloy policies within the workplace.
- Evaluates the performances of staff members and recommends promotion as appropriate.
- Adhere to all Company health, safety and environmental policies while performing job duties.
- Adhere to and promote Corporate Code of Ethical Standards.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
What you need to succeed:
- Read and write English
- BS degree or equivalent experience required
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in related field preferred
