Description:
Currently, we are seeking qualified candidates for a Manager opening to join our Purchasing organization.
Day to Day:
What you will do:
  • Purchase materials in a timely manner and at the lowest cost.
  • Assist in the preparation and management of the departmental budget.
  • Coordinate vendor activity and negotiations.
  • Ensure the team delivers the highest standard of departmental, cross departmental and cross foundation teamwork and customer service.
  • Analyze trends in vendor pricing and sales activity to determine correct  volume and timing of purchases.
  • Review Purchase orders for compliance, and monitor and issue purchase order changes.
  • Provide coaching, guidance and support, set professional development plans to assist employees to reach full potential.
  • Ensure compliance with Company RSM/QCM.  Must be aware of ISO/TCS quality requirements.  Sees that all department employees are aware of quality program.
  • Maintain accurate purchase order prices and vendor cataloging.
  • Ensure that all department employees are properly cross trained.                       
  • Oversee and ensure Company compliance with ISO Standard as Management Representative.
  • Enforces safety and Chromalloy policies within the workplace.
  • Evaluates the performances of staff members and recommends promotion as appropriate.
  • Adhere to all Company health, safety and environmental policies while performing job duties.
  • Adhere to and promote Corporate Code of Ethical Standards.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
What you need to succeed:
  • Read and write English
  • BS degree or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in related field preferred
