Overlay Coating
Overlay Coatings provide external oxidation and corrosion protection.
EBPVD MCrAlYThe NiCoCrAlY, CoNiCrAlY type overlay or bond coating for EBPVD TBC coating is applied by Electron Beam Physical Vapor Deposition (EBPVD) on Commercial Aero, Military Aero, Small Engines including APUs, and Aeroderivative/IGT turbine blades and vanes.
LPPS MCrAlY
The NiCoCrAlY, CoNiCrAlY type overlay coating or bond coating is for EBPVD on APS TBC or abradable coating applied by low pressure plasma spraying (LPPS) on Commercial Aero, Military Aero, Small Engines including APUs, and Aeroderivative/IGT turbine blades and vanes.
HVOF MCrAlY
The HVOF applied MCrAlY family of coatings is generally used as a stand alone coating for oxidation protection or as an undercoat for thermal barrier coatings. Although primarily used for Aeroderivative/IGT components, HVOF MCrAlY's can also be used on Commercial Aero and Military Aero hardware.
