Today's military relies on the gas turbine engine to reliably power its aircraft, vessels and tanks. And, right now, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) around the world are working on the next generation of gas turbine engines to power the next generation of vehicles-in the air, on land and at sea.
However, there are thousands of legacy engines currently supporting Warfighters around the world. And while these engines are not new, they are mission critical.
Unfortunately, most OEM's make the sustainment of these engines extremely costly. Furthermore, they advocate the acquisition of new components over the repair of existing ones-even when commercial best practices are available that would reduce costs and maintain engine performance.
Enter Chromalloy.
For years, Chromalloy has worked jointly with Warfighters to provide the most technologically advanced solutions to sustain legacy engine fleets while reducing costs. We utilize a two-step approach: (1) repair instead of replace and (2) replace non-replaceable parts with approved alternative, newly manufactured parts.
Today, our military contracts incorporate all aspects of the gas turbine engine-from component/module repair and newly manufactured replacement parts, to engine fleet management services, maintenance and overhauls.
