Chromalloy Appoints Ron Smits as Vice President, Business Development, EMEA

Industry veteran brings four decades of aerospace aftermarket expertise to expanded leadership role.

Palm Beach Gardens, FL —  May 8, 2026  — Chromalloy, a global leader in aftermarket engineering and manufacturing solutions for the aerospace and energy sectors, today announced the appointment of Ron Smits as Vice President, Business Development, EMEA. In this role, Ron will lead Chromalloy’s commercial strategy and customer engagement across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

Ron brings four decades of Chromalloy experience and a proven track record of building customer relationships and driving commercial growth across some of the world’s most dynamic aviation markets. He began his career with Chromalloy in April 1987 at Turbine Support Europa — now Chromalloy Holland — in Tilburg, The Netherlands, and has held leadership roles spanning Production Planning, Supply Chain, Customer Support, and Sales across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.

Over the course of his career, Ron established regional offices in Rome and Dubai, launched the Chromalloy Service Center at SAEI Jet Propulsion Center in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and built deep customer relationships across Europe, the Middle East, Türkiye, and North Africa. He also supported Chromalloy’s APAC team in Thailand and has served as a valued mentor to colleagues across the EMEA and APAC regions. Most recently, he served as Regional Sales and Business Development Director and Acting EMEA Sales Team Leader.

Ron’s experience spans commercial aerospace aftermarket, military, aeroderivative, and commercial OEM programs. He is based in Belgium and will continue to oversee Chromalloy’s EMEA commercial operations from Europe.
