Nguyen will lead Chromalloy business development in Asia

George Nguyen, a long-time senior leader in aerospace and energy who previously was General Manager at Chromalloy's Orangeburg, N.Y., repair and coating center, has moved to the newly-created role of Managing Director, Business Development - Asia. Nguyen's appointment reflects Chromalloy's plans for future growth in Asia.

Nguyen joined Chromalloy in 2014 with more than 25 years in top leadership roles at leading global companies in aerospace and energy. His successful track record includes launching businesses and JVs in China, Australia and India.

Prior to joining Chromalloy, he was Chief Operations Officer at Bloom Energy. Before, he was Senior Vice President of Operations at Hawker Beechcraft, and prior to that was President & COO of ASIMCO Technologies, Beijing, China. Earlier, he was division President at Eaton Corp. Prior to that, he was a senior executive at Honeywell/AlliedSignal, including President & CEO of AlliedSignal Aerospace Canada.

Nguyen holds a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Rutgers University and an Executive Master of Science degree in manufacturing eneringeering from Boston University.


David LeClair is appointed as Director, Customer Service

David LeClair, a business leader with more than 25 years of aerospace industry expertise, including leadership roles at Delta Air Lines and within the MRO environment, has been named Chromalloy's new Director, Customer Service. LeClair's accountabilities include establishing best practices and customer service protocols and procedures across Chromalloy.

LeClair joins the company from GA Telesis where he was Vice President, MRO Sales and Customer Service. There, he was responsible for worldwide double-digit sales growth for the repair group. His previous roles include engineering, customer service, program management, business development and sales at VAS\Volvo Aero Services, Delta Air Lines and United Parcel Service.

LeClair holds a Bachelor of Science in industrial engineering, an MBA, and certifications in Lean manufacturing system design and Six Sigma.


Farnborough International Airshow taking off July 11 - 17

More than 100,000 trade visitors will attend the Farnborough Air Show, with some 1,500 companies from around the world exhibiting aircraft systems and aftermarket services in civil and business aviation, defense, space and rotary wing aircraft. The static display will feature more than 150 aircrafts including the new F-35 Joint Strike Fighter.

The airshow is a global showcase for the aerospace and defense industry as well as a forum for high-level meetings. Twenty-two nations will host pavilions at Farnborough, and multiple military delegations will participate. Farnborough also offers forums for MRO, rotary and manufacturing technology customers.
