MRO Americas 2015 takes center stage in Miami, Florida

Chromalloy is an Executive Level sponsor of this year's MRO Americas 2015 being held April 14-16 at the Miami Convention Center in Miami, Florida. More than 10,000 are registered to attend, representing 120 operators and leasing companies. The industry gathering will feature more than 600 exhibitors.

Chromalloy will display a full range of turbine engine component repairs and services. Participants are invited to visit Chromalloy in Booth 805.

The keynote address on Tuesday, April 14, will be presented by Luis Carlos Affonso, Senior Vice President, Operations, & COO, Embraer Commercial Aviation. The keynote will be followed by a session on Aviation Week's Annual Industry Analysis & Forecast.

Wednesday's keynote address, "Unlocking the Power of Innovation," will be presented by Chris Kubasik, President & CEO, Seabury Advisory. The featured presentation on Thursday, "Vision and Alignment in the Maintenance World," will be presented by Alan Butterfield, Vice President, Maintenance & Engineering, Air Canada; and Dr. Roza Rojdev, Managing Partner, Xecutive Metrix. Boutot appointed to sales leadership role

Jim Boutot, a long-time sales executive in the investment casting and forging industries, has joined Chromalloy as Vice President and Global Account Executive. Boutot joins the company from Firth Rixson, where he successfully led sales activities for several years.

He worked for 25 years at Howmet Castings in successive sales, business and technical leadership roles. During his tenure he led sales teams in North America and Asia. Boutot earlier held key roles in Customer Service, Quality and other areas.


ARSA Repair Symposium addresses industry topics

ARSA, the Aeronautical Repair Station Association, held its Annual Repair Symposium near Washington, D.C., last month. Included was a full day of legislative briefings with key lawmakers on Capitol Hill. Featured speakers during the three-day Symposium were top regulatory officials including FAA Administrator Michael P. Huerta, as well as industry experts.

Executive Director Sarah MacLeod opened the Symposium and a keynote was presented by John Hickey, FAA Deputy Associate Administrator. Sessions included timely updates on the regulations, policies and procedures governing the maintenance industry.
