Chromalloy an industry sponsor of Combined Cycle Conference

The 2nd Annual Combined Cycle Operations & Maintenance conference will take place January 21-23 at the Florida Hotel & Conference Center in Orlando, Florida. Chromalloy is an industry sponsor of the conference, which includes innovative practice seminars and expert case studies in combined cycle operations and maintenance.

The conference theme is "Implementing Innovative Strategies to Increase Plant Lifecycle, Identify Opportunities for New Generation Plants and Build Business with Enhanced Training Programs." Case studies will include preventative maintenance, cycling fatigue, remote monitoring systems, and other topics.

Expert speakers include Greg McAuley, Vice President, Technical Services, Calpine; Darrell Boyll, Plant Manager, NIPSCO Sugar Creek Generating Station; and Bernie Cook, Director of Maintenance & Diagnostics Technical Programs.

New operations manager appointed at Tilburg, Holland

Yessa Kurt, a long-time operations leader, has been appointed Manager of Operations at Chromalloy's repair and manufacturing center in Tilburg, Holland. He joins Chromalloy from Unisign where he was Manager, Production. Earlier he was Operations Manager at Senior Aerospace Bosman, a manufacturer and repair provider of alloys for aerospace and land-based turbines.

Prior to that he served as Technical Director at RIGIDA International. Earlier he worked for MIFA Aluminum Industries and Eaton Industries. He began his career at Sulzer Eldim BV, holding operations roles over an eight-year period including Manager, Operations.


Industry forecast tops MRO Latin America conference agenda

This year's Aviation Week MRO Latin America, with a full conference agenda of experts and speakers, will be held January 13-14 at the Hilton Buenos Aires in Argentina. The gathering offers networking opportunities and an MRO exhibition of providers who serve South America, Central America, Mexico and the Caribbean.

Presentations include industry forecasts from experts Jonathan Berger, Vice President, ICF International; and Tom Cooper, Senior Vice President and Principal, Team SAI. IndoGas 2015 gathering scheduled for Jakarta

IndoGas 2015 - the 7th International Indonesia Gas Conference & Exhibition will be held January 27-29 at the Jakarta Convention Center in Indonesia. "Gas for Sustainable Economic Development" is the theme of this year's gathering sponsored by Pertamina, Total Corporation and other companies.

Keynote addresses will highlight a range of topics including harnessing natural gas for sustainable economic development, global gas forecast, business models for pricing and financing, creating a balanced gas fiscal policy, and others.

Offshore Middle East gathering will tee up in Qatar

With participants from more than 50 countries, the 5th annual Offshore Middle East conference and exhibition will take place January 26-28 at the Qatar National Convention Centre, Doha, Qatar. The gathering will be hosted by Qatar Petroleum and sponsored by Saudi Aramco and Occidental Petroleum of Qatar Ltd.
