Chromalloy appoints strategic business development leader

Chromalloy appointed long-time industry executive Sebastian Groeger as Vice President, Strategic Business Development. Groeger joins Chromalloy from PEFAT Management GmbH where he led acquisitions, negotiations, and M&A. Earlier he was Managing Director at Jet Aviation in Germany and Singapore. Prior to that, he held successive roles at MTU Aero Engines.

At MTU, Groeger was Vice President and CFO of MTU Maintenance at the Berlin-Brandenburg GmbH operation, and CFO of MTU's Vericor Power Systems manufacturing operations in the U.S. Previous to that, he worked at DaimlerChrysler Aerospace. He holds a Bachelor's degree in business and management from Middlesex University and an MBA from the University of Edinburgh.


7F Users Group holding 25th annual conference

Celebrating its 25th anniversary, the 7F Users Group will hold special activities for members and offer a five-day program during the 7F Annual Conference May 9 - 13 in Orlando, Florida. The gathering will draw worldwide 7F users including plant operators, overhaul, maintenance, and operations professionals.

The keynote address on May 9 will be followed by general sessions on topics including OEM Alternatives for 7FA Compressor Rotor Life Extension, Automating Optional Gas Turbine Performance, and Operations & Maintenance. Other sessions will be targeted for users, sponsors, and vendors.

NexTurbine 2016 gears up in Shanghai

NexTurbine 2016 - the region's largest energy industry conference in China for gas turbine users and manufacturers - will hold its 5th annual summit May 12-13 at the Longemont Shanghai resort and conference center. Featured will be experts discussing new technologies and trends in the gas turbine and power sectors.

EBACE 2016 taking flight May 24-26 in Geneva

More than 13,000 are registered to attend EBACE 2016 - the European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition - in Geneva, Switzerland May 24 - 26. EBACE 2016 will host attendees from 170 countries, and 60 aircraft will be on static display. The exhibition hall will feature more than 500 companies.

As the region's premier industry gathering, EBACE will showcase business aviation products and services from aircraft and system manufacturers, avionics firms, aftermarket suppliers, handling organizations, fractional providers, charter / lease companies, and aircraft resellers.
