Sequa board member Rosenker continues to address transportation safety
Mark Rosenker, former National Transportation Safety Board Chairman and a
member of the Sequa Corporation Board of Directors, continues to keep safety
issues in the public eye during presentations to a number of key industry
groups. Recent presentations include "Technology as a Safety Measure: How
Technology Can Prevent Accidents " and "Future Trends in Transportation
Safety Regulation." In March, Rosenker met in Tokyo with Dr. Norihiro Goto,
Chairman of the Japan Transport Safety Board. In November 2009, he addressed
a broad array of aviation safety issues during his keynote presentation to
the Association of Air Transport and Engineering Research (ATEC) in Tokyo.
Rosenker frequently appears on the TODAY Show, NBC Evening News and on
MSNBC as NBC's transportation safety analyst.
In August 2009, Sequa Corporation, of which Chromalloy is a subsidiary,
named Rosenker to its Board of Directors. Prior to the appointment, Rosenker
chaired the NTSB. He held the top NTSB position until his resignation in
July 2009. He retired as Major General in the U.S. Air Force Reserve
in December 2006 after 37 years of combined active and reserve service.
Rosenker also served as Deputy Assistant to the President and Director of
the White House Military Office, responsible for managing military assets
and personnel that support the President and Vice President. He was
with President Bush on September 11, 2001.
