Gartshore appointed as Global Aftermarket Leader, Energy

Derek Gartshore, a seasoned gas turbine engine industry leader, has joined Chromalloy as Global Aftermarket Leader, Energy, accountable for sales leadership and general management of Turbine Services, the company's Glasgow, Scotland-based unit. He joins the team from EthosEnergy Light Turbines Ltd. where he was Managing Director.

Earlier Gartshore held the role of Managing Director at the Wood Group GTS. Previous to that he worked for more than 17 years in successive roles, including GM at Rolls Wood OTEC, the joint venture in Malaysia responsible for RB211 repair and overhaul services. He began his career as a Configuration Engineer at Rolls-Royce.

 
 

NBAA 2015 anticipates 26,000 at convention and exhibition

The premier annual NBAA (National Business Aviation Association) gathering will host approximately 26,000 attendees during the three-day convention and exhibition in Las Vegas, Nevada, November 17-19. More than 1,000 exhibitors are registered. Approximately 100 of the newest business aircraft will be on static display.

NBAA, the world's largest business aviation gathering and the meeting place for aviation professionals from around the world, will host current and prospective aircraft owners, manufacturers and customers. A conference agenda of education sessions, expert workshops, training and career development seminars is scheduled.

Featured speakers at this year's NBAA include Michael Huerta, FAA (Federal Aviation Association) Administrator, and retired US Airways Capt. Chesley B. "Sully" Sullenberger III. Singapore hosting MRO Asia-Pacific 2015

Aviation Week's MRO Asia-Pacific 2015 gets underway November 3-5 in Singapore, offering complete end-to-end solutions and expert presentations for participants from the region. The gathering will be at the Singapore Expo Convention and Exhibition Centre. Asia Pacific's status as a high-growth region in fleet size has shaped the conference agenda.

9FA/FB user conference is under way in Hong Kong

Hong Kong is the setting for the 24th 9FA/FB Annual Users Conference, being staged November 2-5 at the Sheraton Hong Kong Hotel & Towers. The conference offers expert sessions on the latest gas turbine technologies, user presentations and an exchange and dialogue of user experiences.

The conference is being hosted by CLP Power Hong Kong Ltd., the largest vertically integrated electricity generation, transmission and distribution company in Hong Kong. MRO Network hosting AE&M Central & Eastern Europe and Russia

The first-ever conference of its kind will take place in Tallinn, Estonia, on November 18-19 as MRO Network hosts the Airline Engineering and Maintenance: Central & Eastern Europe and Russia conference. A series of expert sessions and networking opportunities will be available to participants.
